Prefix a-

Prefix a- in this unit is a list of words with the prefix ‘a-‘. Confused? This little extra at the start of a word can make it mean the opposite such as ‘asexual’.  It can also mean in or of.  

The product pic is a boat because there are several such words associated with sailing.  Examples:  float and afloat,  shore and ashore,  board and aboard.   There is a helpful introduction.

This task has a list in three columns.

~All the words have a prefix ‘a’. So side becomes aside and wait becomes await.
~Followed by a few short tasks to reinforce learning.
